Support Letter

Friends and Family,

I have an opportunity to do something starting January 2012 that I believe will change my life. I recently decided, after much prayer and consideration, to go to Youth With A Mission (YWAM,) a six month training and outreach mission school. I am writing you because I want you to be a part of what God will do in my life and in the lives of many others. I need your help – both spiritually and financially.

Over the past year the Lord has put a burning desire in my heart to go into full time worship ministry. Many of you may know that for the past 3 years I have been a part of a touring band called Harp & Lyre, with the main focus of sharing the love of Christ with everyone we came in contact with.  With many months of prayer the Lord has pulled me from the band and is allowing me to lay that aside to run full speed into worship training. I will be leaving January 4th for Kona, Hawaii where I will spend three months in training, then be assigned an outreach.

God is searching for a generation that will give themselves wholeheartedly to the place of intimate communion, zealous passion and faith-filled obedience. I am answering the call to partake in the amazing plans the Lord has for me! While in Kona I will be blessed to hear speakers teach on things like the character and nature of God, hearing the voice of God, how to communicate God’s word effectively, worship and prayer, restoration of the heart and mind, fellowship with the Holy Spirit, revival and reformation, missions and evangelism and so much more!

After the three month dynamic lecture phase, I will be sent on a three month outreach to put into practice all I have received. I cannot yet tell you exactly what the last three months will look like, as our service will be unique to the location, however I do know that during this time my team will be connecting with local ministries and churches to walk out this marriage of prayer and mission. My team and I will seek to encourage people to believe that the God of the Bible is who He says He is!  My specific pursuit will be to lead worship with my outreach team, wherever we are sent.

I need you to join with me by becoming part of my support team by praying for me. Prayer is critical to any ministry. If God is not in this trip, it will all be in vain. Please pray that our Lord would be a part of this trip, and even now begin to prepare my heart and the hearts I will be ministering to.

Beyond your prayers, if you are led to join me by financially supporting this mission, I would be grateful.  I am in need of $9000 to cover housing, transportation (this includes four airline tickets), food and ministry outreach expenses. $4000 of that will be due January 1st. While working full-time at Flatire Burgers and doing free-lance graphic design on the side, I will still have to be creative to raise the money.  I want to extend an invitation to you to participate. This is a journey that God has called me to and I would greatly appreciate any level of support you are able to offer.  This would include one time or even monthly gifts.

For those of you who are led to financially give, you may send your donation to my paypal account.  Joseph@equinoxvisual.com . To make a tax deductable contribution, write checks to Daybreak Community Church and send with a note to 2217 S. Fretz, Suite 110 Edmond, OK 73013. Neither my name nor YWAM should be written on the check.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and for considering being a part of God’s work. It means so much to me. May the Lord bless you and keep your heart close to His.

Please stay in contact with me through Facebook and read my blog to see what the Lord is doing!!  My return home is scheduled for mid-June.

Kona or bust!

A New Season

Hey guys!

The past 3 years of my life have been amazing to say the least. From writing music I love with some of my best friends to touring the nation and making new friends, the Lord has blessed me immensely.  Harp And Lyre has always been on my heart and a main priority from the day it started. From day one the Lord had a clear goal for Harp, and that was to write music that brought glory to Him and share His love along the way. As of now, the Lord has called me out of Harp And Lyre to pursue a new season in my life. Over this past year of truly seeking the Lord, He started igniting passions and desires in me that I can no longer ignore.

Leaving the band is one of the hardest decisions I have had to make. I am so grateful for all of the support we have ever gotten and for all of the amazing friendships that were made along the way. I am honored to have shared so many great memories with Dylan, Noah, Tyler, Clay, Philip and Evan during this time of my life. They have been a great examples of what good friends and a men of God are. I love them so much and I can't imagine what my life would look like without their friendships. I will truly miss every second of it, even the long nights sleeping in the hot van, sandwiched between two sweaty dudes. To all of my friends at home, you have been so supportive and you have made such an impact on my life. I am sorry for all of the shows I dragged you to (mainly CFCE). I love you guys so much! I can not say how blown away I am by the amount of love and support Harp has gotten over the last few years. To everyone who has ever come out to a show, listened to our music, prayed for our band and shared awesome times with us: I can not thank you enough. I pray that you will seek the Lord's heart and trust Him with everything you have, because He loves you so much and has the best plan for you!

-All For The Kingdom!!!!

p.s. Don't worry, Harp is still going strong. The guys are leaving in a week to go track the full length album and I can honestly say its the best material the band has ever written. They have put many many hours into the album and its truly anointed by the Lord! So keep supporting them like you always have! They have some awesome things ahead so stay on board and keep listening, you wont be let down!

Ok, now that I have that out (wiping tears from my face...it's allergies, you hush). I can tell you about what I am up to! ;)

As of now the Lord is calling me to a prayer and worship school called Fire and Fragrance. This school is based in Kona, Hawaii, and is lead by YWAM (Youth With A Mission.) I will be leaving January 6th, 2012. After the school phase is done, I will be sent into the mission field somewhere in the world to share about the Lord with others!  I am so excited to see what the Lord is going to do and to see where he leads me. Please be in prayer about supporting me financially during this time. The cost of this school is pretty overwhelming but I have complete faith that the Lord is going to provide every cent.
Please contact me at Joseph@equinoxvisual.com or add me on facebook.

If you feel led to support me, my paypal email is Joseph@equinoxvisual.com
But more than anything, please keep me in your prayers! Prayer is the battle!

Thank you all so much.
Love you all!
