I want to start off saying thank you for your support, even if you only read my blog, I am grateful.
The past 6 months has been so amazing and life changing to say the least. The Lord has changed my heart in so many ways, but the main area He has awakened is a heart for more missions and see people come to know Jesus as their Lord and savior.
The Lord has opened up doors for me to join YWAM as a full time staff starting this August. I will be helping lead young adults into their true identities in Jesus! I have committed the next year to YWAM Kona where I did my discipleship training school. The Lord put on my heart to go back and pour out into peoples lives in the same way He poured into mine. I will be apart of their leadership program where I will have opportunities to lead worship, teach in mission schools, lead outreach teams and be apart of raising up the next wave of world traveling missionaries. I am asking you to prayerfully consider partnering with me through prayer and financial support.
The next few months.
In August, I will be attending an evangelism seminar at the International House Of Prayer in Kansas City, Kansas called Circuit Riders. www.ihopkc.org/circuitriders This event will be an amazing time of teaching and receiving more training in biblical leadership.
In September I will be heading to Washington DC to start my Leadership Track program. Fifty YWAM staff and myself will be leading a worship tent located behind the White House in the ellipse lawn. This tent will be open 24/7 for 40 days leading up to the elections. PLEASE follow this link www.davidstentdc.org and watch the video and let your heart be captured by the vision of the event!
We will also be doing evangelism daily on the streets of DC. We will be partnering with already established ministries and serving them in any way they may need. Living in DC will be a lot like my outreach in Amsterdam, living life knowing that evangelism is a life style not an event.
After my time in Washington DC I will be heading to Kona in November to partner with the base and to continue my Leadership Track. I will be stationed at the base and/or will be traveling internationally on outreach trips (which may have varying objectives but the heart to share the love of Jesus and serve will always be the goal). My need for monthly support is great, but I know the Lord will provide hearts that are willing to give and help see my needs met.
Being home after my DTS (Discipleship Training School)
Since I have been home the Lord has opened up doors to have worship nights once a week at a friends house. Last week around 25 highshool students attended and we are believing for even more as the month goes on. We will be doing worship and spending time discipling the students that are wanting to grow more in the Lord. This next year, we believe that the Lord is longing for highschool students to truly step out and be bold leaders and examples of Christ in their schools. The feeling of pouring out and leading this young men and women into this leadership is urgent and we know we must start now! How am I personally raising money?
While I am home I am doing odd jobs (mowing, painting, gardening, garage sales) doing everything I can to fundraise for the next year. I have ordered some t-shirts that I have personally designed. I am also hosting a garage sale and asking for donations of furniture, clothing or anything else anyone might be wanting to get rid of. How can you partner with me?
Please pray about ways you might be able to partner with me during this time. What could you possibly sacrifice to help the kingdom of God? It might look like one less coffee a week or even having a garage sale to help support. No matter what it looks like, prayer or financial support, I am so thankful and blessed by you!
For the next year, in order to cover my monthly expenses, (International flights, rent, groceries, transportation, health insurance, incidental, misc) I am in need of monthly support. My monthly support goal is $1000. If 10 people pledged $100 a month my goal would be met.
