What I Am Currently Doing In Ministry

The Last Ten Months

In the last ten months I have had the privilege of leading a mission team to Europe, staff three evangelistic summer schools with YWAM and be apart of a massive outreach on USC campus in California. My team traveled to Amsterdam, London and Cambridge and saw over a hundred people receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior, sick people were healed by the power of God (deaf ears opened!) and hundreds were reached with the gospel of Jesus. During my time of staffing the summer schools we saw over 320 people surrender their lives to Jesus and connected with churches across America. Last month the missions team I was with gathered over 1000 people at the University of Southern California in a 1000 person tent, sharing the love of Jesus and building faith in the student believers of the university.

What Is Next

I am currently living at YWAM Kona (one of the largest missions bases in the world) and home to Loren and Darlene Cunningham, our founders, they sit in and speak at our weekly meetings! With around 500 staff, our base is a hub for innovation. With our natural farm, clean water projects, film and music studios, world mapping and bible translation teams we are seeking to influence every area of society for Jesus! I am one of 18,000 volunteer staff world wide. YWAM trains close to 25,000 students a year! I am one of the 4 MILLION students YWAM has trained and launched into missions. I will be serving the base and launching into different nations every 3 months. I will be going to Amsterdam for the month of December to serve at the YWAM base and to do missions work in the Red Light District.

How Can You Partner with me

Summer 2013

Over the past 5 weeks I was given the incredible opportunity to travel with the YWAM Circuit Rider team.  During the five weeks hundreds were trained in the simple gospel, hundreds received salvation and the kingdom of God was advanced in America. Here are a few stories.

One of the stops this summer was Lancaster Pennsylvania. We were blessed with the ability to use one of the massive conference rooms in a Marriott in the middle of Lancaster for 5 days. A training school of 400 students miraculously grew to nearly 2000! During the days we trained students, and at night we opened up the evening worship/training times to the public. Hundreds were getting saved on the streets and were invited to the evening services. In the course of 2 days of outreach over 300 people were saved and over 60 people were healed!

One of my favorite testimonies is from a student named Daniel. This student, with joy in his heart and faith to see people receive Jesus approached 5 guys sitting on a porch in a near by neighborhood. These men gave their hearts to Jesus, and during this time the neighbors overheard what happened and came over and gave there lives to Jesus! That night, those 7 men brought 5 friends to our nightly gathering and all 12 surrendered everything to Jesus!

This is just one of several incredible stories from Lancaster. The gospel of Jesus was shared and nearly 2000 people gathered around the simple story of His LOVE!

Night gathering in Lancaster

My view every night playing percussion

Matt and I taking some time from worship to let the kids strum on our guitars.

From Lancaster we traveled to Kansas City where a school of 150 gathered! One of my favorite testimonies from KC is of my buddy Kurtis. A few students and Kurtis went to a local skate park where they managed to gather 14 high school aged skaters to listen to Kurtis share the gospel. They all received Jesus and were given contact information to local ministries to get discipleship!  Sharing the love of Jesus is so fun!

Now I am in Orange County California with the Circuit Rider crew preparing for One Love. The team is putting on an event by University of Southern California by the LA Coliseum in a big 1000 person tent. This event is called One Love. We have been handing out fliers and meeting with churches and group leaders from all different universities. The night will be based around uniting students around the message of God's great love for us. The team as developed a small booklet handout for everyone who comes called "21 Days Of Love". The booklet has a simple challenge everyday, a unique way to love someone. From giving your professor flowers, taking cookies to your neighbor, sharing the gospel with a stranger to taking water to greek row during a prime party time, the challenges get you out of your comfort zone and promote the character of Jesus for 21 days! We believe that One Love will be a night of the lost getting saved and the saved getting encourage and challenged to love! The event is on wednesday august 28th at 7pm in Parking Lot Two by the LA Coliseum,

Here is the website for more information.

Update From Oklahoma (Future Plans)

The Fire and Fragrance Discipleship Training School wrapped up on June 8th with an amazing graduation and time of testimonies. Over the course of 2 months, our wild teams ministered to thousands of people, seeing over 1300 people give their lives to the Lord and over 3000 people healed through prayer by the power of Jesus name. Blind eyes, deaf ears were restored and our team that stayed on the big island of Hawaii encountered someone being raised from the dead. The God of the bible is living today, signs and wonders are happening around the world and we are ALL invited to be apart of Gods story in our generation!  Pray crazy prayers full of faith and watch our mighty God move in ways you could only dream of!
Here is a picture of my family (team)! They are all back at home now, not as they once were, but now even more full of faith and stepping out and seeing God move in the most unlikely of places. I keep hearing testimonies almost everyday of someone getting healed through prayer, or receiving salvation. My team truly lives a life style of sharing the gospel of Jesus. I was blessed to have each and everyone of them on team Europe, they all were so filled with faith and did amazing things of the kingdom of God.

Here is a video I made showing testimonies from our time in Europe:

WHAT IS NEXT:
Currently I am in Oklahoma visiting family and friends! I finally met my new nephew Walker Shaw and spent some precious time with my niece Huntley! They are both bundles of joy and I love them so much! It has been such a great time catching up with friends and hearing all that God is doing here in Oklahoma! Edmond now has a house of prayer! WOO What a joy it has been! The past few weeks have been full of work and play. God has provided me with some odd jobs to sustain myself financially while I am home and to invest in near future mission trips! I was blessed to spend some time with my father and two boys he is mentoring out on the Illinois river, we floated six miles on kayaks! It was a blast!

On July 23rd I am flying out to Irvine California to staff the Circuit Rider school put on by Youth With A Mission. The school focuses on training believers how to share their faith effectively and to believe for revival in America. We have times of outreach to the local communities where the students see God moving. After the week of training and outreach, students are filled with faith to live a life of sharing the gospel of Jesus to anyone who will hear! I will be staffing the school in California, (July 25th - August 1st), the school in Lancaster PA (August 4th-10th) and the Circuit Rider school in Kansas City (August 11th-17th). Last year the schools saw an outbreak of God during times of evangelism and over 800 people were led to the Lord! We are believing for the same thing to happen this year!

Here is a video that shows more history on Circuit Rider made to promote the school for last year.

2013 PROMO VIDEO FOR CIRCUIT RIDER!

After these schools I plan on continuing my volunteer work with YWAM in the vein of discipling and worship leading. I will be returning to Kona in the fall to prepare for the January Discipleship Training School.

Thank you for your prayers and support.

Outreach Update from Cambridge

Hello friends and family!

I am currently in Cambridge at our host home relaxing on our day off. The past few weeks have been slammed packed with ministry! God has been so faithful to us. Since I am the guy with the camera I am the guy who usually records everything, so with that being said I am not in much of the updates. BUT I REALLY want you guys to watch them. We share some amazing testimonies and it's a way for me to show you what is going on here in the mission field!

Over the past 3 weeks we have seen close to 70 salvations! God is moving in the UK. We still have 3 days left for street evangelism and are so excited about what God is going to do! Our first day out on the streets of Cambridge we saw over 40 come to know the Lord. It's crazy! We are blown away and the group we are working with here is insanely encouraged and in shock of what God is doing!

We spent time in a busy public park over the weekend with "free prayer" signs and were able to pray for countless people! So many people we talked to made first time commitments to following Jesus as their Lord and savior. I have never seen anything like it, everyone is wanting to hear the good news of Jesus!

In 2 weeks I will be done with this DTS. I can't believe how fast it went by. I have seen my students grow so much in the Lord. This team has become family. When you spend your days perusing the lost and broken and desiring to bring healing and love to their hearts, you become so close to the ones you are living with. Parting ways will be so hard but I know that God has amazing plans for us all and the students are prepared to go home and testify all that the Lord has done. I can't wait to hear how they transform their homes!

My plans are to go home for most of the summer. I am praying about staffing some evangelism schools over the summer called The School of Circuit Rider. (one in LA and one possibly in Norway). I will be at home working and leading worship anywhere people ask me to lead. I really would love to get a Taylor electric acoustic and start pursuing worship leading more. I have been working on some songs of my own and hope to record over the summer. As of now I am not sure if the Lord will have me continue with YWAM right away (miss my family). I know for now that I want to meet my new nephew and spend time with friends and family. Jesus is so good and loves to see the desires of my heart be met, my desire is to hug my sweet niece and spend time writing worship music with friends back home. I sure hope that God says yes to all of that. : )

Some crazy doors have opened up in NYC, California, DC, Amsterdam and doors remain open in Kona for me to continue mission work, building community and training students to share their faith confidently. I am asking the lord for direction for the fall season and the future. Please pray for clarity as I press into his word and heart.

I am hoping to be on a plane leaving Kona on Tuesday june 11th heading home. BUT I am short $400 for my ticket. If you feel lead to support me to get home that would bless me and my mom greatly. : )

Update from the Netherlands

UPDATE FROM THE NETHERLANDS
To be honest, I am not in the Netherlands anymore, I am sitting in the Oval Cafe that is located on the Harpenden YWAM base here in England. I had every intention to write this update 2 weeks ago while I was in Amsterdam, but time flew by and the responsibilities of leading this team never wanted to take a break, so neither did I. As I sat with Jesus today, the short 2 hours felt more like 10 minutes as I listened to a song called "I Am the Lord's" on repeat for the majority of the time. (I have placed a link to the song at the end of my blog). The ending lyrics say "I leave all things behind, cling to the one I love" and as I listened tears filled my eyes. In that moment my heart ached and the thoughts of everything I have left behind for the time being flashed before me. Whether it be family, friends or knowing that the friendships that have been laid down may never be the same due to the distance placed between us, the pain was very present. The next song on the album started playing, the song is called "It's My Joy". The song kicks off with the lyrics "It's my Joy to lay my life down, because when I lose my life for your sake it will be found". IT'S SO TRUE. The Lord gave me such a sense of peace and joy. He so quickly comforted me and encouraged my spirit. I have found so much joy in living out a surrendered life to the Lord and missions.

As I was reading last week in a book called the Big Ten, I read something that was so simple and a great reminder of the mandate on my life. "As a believer of Jesus Christ, we are called to know Him, His heart and characteristics, and should reflect Him to the world around us. We are called to continue His earthly ministry". These short, simple, yet heart provoking two sentences have truly captivated me for the past week and the question that still lingers is, how do I continue the earthly ministry of Jesus more than I already am? Today I feel like I have come to the answer of that question, the answer is, I do nothing more. Yes that's right, I continue doing the same thing. The question of how to continue his early ministry has now become more of a mission statement, "I will continue the early ministry of Jesus Christ." Through whatever avenue of life the Lord calls me to, the mandate stays the same, save the lost, revive the saved and disciple them all. Love and serve to the best of my abilities and allow my life to reflect Jesus more each day. I could spend hours upon hours evaluating my life and find areas of fault, but I know the Lord is leading me and I can not help but be filled with joy because of how faithful he is. I hope some of this has made some sense. Writing has never been something I enjoy doing, I can express myself much better if a guitar is placed in my hands, but for the time being this blog will have to do.

Our time in Amsterdam was absolutely amazing. We were able to lead a handful of people to the Lord. After they accepted Jesus, we set up times at local cafes and we were able to disciple them more and take them deeper into the Bible, setting them up for success, teaching them how to maintain a heart fully revived and knowing how to live a life for the Lord. The testimonies of our time there could honestly last for hours. I am in the process of editing our second update video where we share testimonies of the Lord leading us to a specific cafe and having our waitress encounter the love of Jesus and accepting Jesus as her Lord and Savior, healings of deafness, and our team leading out in worship and ministry for a church of over 1000. I have finished one video and will post it below. If you have a smart phone, I am on an app called Voxer; I am able to send pictures and short messages through wifi. If you are wanting to receive pictures/testimonies straight to your phone of my time here in England I would love for you to add me. The times we live in are exciting and I want to share all that is happening.

I know the broke missionary thing to do is after sharing wild testimonies is to share the financial needs, BUT I am not a broke missionary; I serve a faithful God and He is a father who loves to provide! That being said, if you would like to be a part of contributing to my flight home to meet my new nephew, I would cheerfully receive!

In my next blog I will be sharing more vision for the coming months and what I feel the Lord is calling me to after I am done leading this team. Your support has truly changed my life! My desire is to be a voice to my generation to rise up and live fully for the Lord, I know this desire and mandate does not change based on location, so with that I will be spending some time home this summer (with small trips here and there staffing week long training schools in the US...and maybe in Norway). My time home will be spent with friends and family, resting and sharing with anyone who has an ear to hear of the beauty and freedom of Jesus Christ.

The last year and a half has passed like a breeze, but at the same time it feels like my journey with YWAM started so long ago. I am excited to continue working with YWAM and continue sharing the Love of Jesus wherever I go.

Peace & Blessings y'all.  : )

Update from Kona. Here I Come Europe

The past 2 months have flown by so fast! I can't believe in 23 short days my team will be heading to Europe. I never would have thought I would be heading back to Amsterdam so soon, but we serve such a fun God and He knows where I will be used the best for the kingdom. Getting to know my students has been a blast! Every tuesday morning I have all of the guys on the team meet for breakfast at 6:30am and we all preach to each other. Some of the topics have been, faith, intentional discipleship, worship, prayer and much more. We call these mornings, MEN OF GLORY MEETINGS. It has been such a fun time of sharing amazing cultures of the kingdom of God to each other. Everyone has become so much more comfortable sharing to groups of people and in turn will help us all share the gospel of Jesus easier and more effectively to everyone while on outreach.

We will be staying at the YWAM Amsterdam base for 4 weeks, partnering with the base through serving with work duties, helping the base run. Also while we are there we will be leading times of worship and prayer for the base. Throughout Amsterdam there are several city squares like this one .
This square is called Dam Square. Thousands of people pass through every single day. We will be spending lots of time doing street evangelism/street worship here. Once someone is lead to the Lord we will have information of local churches to get them plugged into as well as setting up times for us to meet wit them and start intentional discipleship. We long for the lost to meet Jesus and learn how to live  for Him! We intend to see this happened. My team has been working so hard, learning the core essentials of the biblical truth behind salvation, justification and sanctification. They can share their personal testimony of coming to the Lord, the gospel of Jesus and several cultures of the kingdom (love, faith, joy, peace) so clearly and I know that through this we will see so many come to know Jesus!

We will be spending time at the Tabernacle of Nations which is a house of prayer in the heart of the red light district of Amsterdam. Prostitution has been legal in the Netherlands from 1815. According to statistics there are now over 25,000 prostitutes in the Netherlands. Spending time at this house of prayer is a privilege. We worship the king of kings in the midst of this red light district praying for his love to break in and bring freedom to the oppressed men and women who frequent the brothels. Our heart is to minister to the women in the windows, but due to already established ministries in the city, we want to honor the relationships that have made with the women and pimps. Since we are in Amsterdam for such a short time we can not risk damaging the unique relationships that these ministries have made with the women in the windows and the pimps. Our hearts to see these women restored and brought out of this must be battled through prayer.

We will be going after the Johns that are walking to and from the Red Light District. Pray for open hearts and that the love of God will be received.

A picture I took last time I was in the Tabernacle of Nations. Praying for the ending of sex trafficking.

We will spending 4 weeks in London as well! For a few weeks we will be serving on the YWAM London base! During out time there we will be going to Cambridge University and doing evangelism amongst the students. We hope to get connected to some on campus ministries and setting up some open air evangelistic events. A time to share the gospel of Jesus! We are believing for amazing doors to open for our team and I know that we will see hearts restored and revived by the love of Jesus.

AWESOME TESTIMONY!!!!!!

A friend of mine was in a horrible moped wreck last week that left her with a broken thigh bone, a shattered ankle, and fluids leaking behind her bladder. she was taken to the hospital in kona, hawaii and x-rayed, prepped for surgery, and told she might have to be air lifted to honolulu for further repairs. the doctors had screws and metal plates ready to repair the damage done to her legs... however, a crazy thing happened!

We began to pray - in the name of Jesus - over each specific thing. when mariah (the girl who got in the wreck) went in for surgery, doctors discovered she no longer had any broken bones or internal fluids leaking, and that she merely needed some stitches in her legs!

Our God heals!!!!! She is now out of the hospital.

During my time here in Kona I have been making necklaces and working for a moped rental company in hopes to cover all of my monthly bills and cover my outreach, but unfortunately I am still about $1000 short. I already have my round trip ticket bought and over half of my housing costs covered, I need your help to make this happen. Please consider supporting me in order to make this outreach a reality! I know the Lord has called me to go to Europe to serve and love the people in these two cities. It would mean so much to me if you partnered with me.

Fire and Fragrance Glory!

The last 2 and a half weeks have been some of the most stretching/growing/blessed times of my life. Staffing has been a blast and the Lord is SO faithful. Leading up to this DTS the Lord started preparing my heart for this season of my life so well. Honestly, if someone told me last year that a year from then I would be doing this, I wouldn't have believed them. My desire for the Lord has been ignited even more and continues to grow daily. I never thought I would be waking up at 5:45am (sometimes earlier) in order to have time with the Lord, not because someone tells me to, but because it's my delight and desire.

The Lord is teaching me how to rest in him, not physically but in the busyness of it all. He is my comforter and gives me an abundance of peace and joy! Our schedule is usually a full 10-12 hours a day of intentional class room/one on one discipleship with the students and staff preparation work. Yesterday it was a 14 hour day! I am so thankful for long days such as these. The students are receiving so much breakthrough with the Lord. Over the past 2 weeks we have seen over 50 healings. Our God is alive and still moves with His love through healing. We ask in full faith and pray in the name of Jesus and He is faithful to respond! We have seen life long illnesses, broken bones and blind eyes restored!

I am excited to announce that I will be co-leading a team to Amsterdam (red light district) and London for outreach in March-June. With the evangelism training of sharing the gospel of Jesus, that the students are getting, we know that we will see many souls won for Jesus!! We have a team of 6 staff and 17 students!

Here is a video from the first week of DTS. Our students are amazing!

Arrival day at the airport! We had over 700 students show up for several different schools on the YWAM campus!

The second night they were here we had a night of welcoming them into our family. We washed our students feet and told them how much we loved them and how committed we are to them. Here is a picture of the set up before the students arrived. We had worship set up in the middle.

Last mondays worship night in the prayer room. My view from the stage! I have never seen such hunger for the Lord before. These students(LEADERS) are blowing us away!

When I was younger I loved drumming and even had my own drum set. My dad and I got one at a garage sale in Colorado and somehow got it back to Oklahoma! When I started playing guitar I stop drums playing around age 13. Well about a month ago I got back on the drums. I had missed it so much and I feel so alive when I am playing worshiping Jesus through drumming! Some how I was asked to play drums for the first monday morning worship set of the Jan quarter. Over 1000 people were there. I was terrified but it was such a great time with the Lord! I am playing a ton during the week on regularly scheduled worship sets in the prayer room as well.

YWAM Kona is exploding! The campus is 100% full. With over 1000 people living on base, the dorms and class rooms are packed. The Fire and Fragrance staff ordered a massive white revival tent for our class room! The tent came all the way from Miami Oklahoma!! They cleared tons of brush and trees in order for us to lay a foundation with bricks!
TENT OF GLORY! The training that is happening in that tent will change thousands of souls eternal destiny's. The students are all in for saving the lost, and I know some will be staying on outreach. When thousands of people receive salvation of Jesus, many will have to stay on outreach in order to disciple them. Revival is coming to the nations of the world. Jesus is longing for His children to come into relationship with Him!! No better way of spending my life!

Thursday night meeting. Over a thousand gather every week and worship Jesus!

LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Keep me in your prayers! For health and for finances. I am in need of about $4000 to lead the outreach to Europe. I know this is where the Lord is leading me, and if you feel lead to partner with me please do so.
