Prague and beyond

Last weekend we got to spend time in Prague with team poland. Our time there was spent seeing the city and doing street outreach! It was so refreshing spending time with team Poland. We got to encourage each other and really build the teams up so we were ready to come back to our home bases and truly bless the cities.

We hit the streets with worship and our free
prayer signs. At first we thought it was going to rain, but the Lord was faithful and cleared the skies for us. We spent time playing several hours of worship and offering prayer to anyone who was willing to accept it. Countless photos were taken of us, I think the sight of 18 American young adults praising the Lord so openly was something not seen so often.

After I finished playing guitar and singing out, I was able to walk around another part of the city and was able to pray for a few homeless men on the street. The conditions they were living in were heartbreaking. My teammate and I got to spend sometime talking to them about Jesus and our relationship with him. Just by us not ignoring them and walking by them while they begged for money on the street, blessed them. It was as if no one had looked their way in so long. They longed for love and being able to pray for them and asking the Lord to touch them and fill them with love was the best part of my day.

We were able to talk to and pray for so many people. It was such a great time. A group of Christians from south east Asia ran up to us filled with joy thanking us and telling us how encouraging it was for them to see us out preaching the gospel. We got to pray for them and hear some of their story. It was amazing!  I walked off with a few members from my team and went on a prayer walk, and as we returned to where our teams were set up, around 200 people were there. We could hear different members from team Amsterdam and Poland preaching and declaring worth over the crowed that was listening. It was so amazing. Sharing about the gospel to the city of Prague was life changing.
In Prague
After our 2 day adventure in Prague we headed back to Amsterdam full of excitement and expectation for the remainder of our outreach. We had 20 hours of travel which looked like 2 busses and 6 trains. We never had much time to sleep since we weren't completely sure what the stops looked like. Train stations aren't to American friendly since non of it is in english. haha. So we bought our tickets not realizing that we would have a layover. haha a 4 hour lay over starting at 1:30am in a train station where all of the stores were closed at night. In fact no train came through during our lay over and it was freezing. So we got some blankets and bath towels out and made a little place for the girls to lay down. Us men stayed awake and protected them... hahaha
20 hours of traveling had passed and a 2 hour nap, then we went straight to our community outreach for the day. We served in a mans apartment who is a severe alcoholic. He hadn't been sober enough to clean in over 10 years. Here is a before and after of his bathroom. It was heartbreaking, but we got to share the Love of Jesus with Him and he was blessed. He agreed to start taking steps towards getting help! After he saw how clean everything was he looked at all of us and asked "why...why would you do this for me? I am not a good person." we told him because we wanted to bless him and that we loved him. The men that set up the project and who knew him personally got to share more about Jesus to him and more of the fathers heart for him.  It was amazing!

The next day we served on the YWAM base and we got to help clean the YWAM "Next Wave" boat! we spent time sanding and oiling all of the wood. It was a lot of fun and a lot different than most of our serving time so it was great. They let me clime the crows nest! They talked to some of us about joining them after our DTS is over. We would be sailing around Europe going to remote villages and sharing the gospel. It sounds exciting but as of now I do not plan on doing that. haha

Today our team split into two groups. One team went to one of the big parks in Amsterdam and my team went to the hospital. The Hospitals here are very private and they are very cautious about who is roaming the halls, so we had some troubles at first, but the Lord was still faithful. We went to the waiting room and split up and each would pick a person and start up conversations with them....haha most of them couldn't speak english, but with simple hand motions I could explain I wanted to pray for them. Some would say yes, and some would say no by standing up and walking away. haha. It seemed to really bless the ones we were able to pray for. One women said after we were done a lot of the pain she had been feeling had left. She told us she was a muslim and were able to tell her about Jesus. We are hoping to be able to go back before we leave and talk to her more. please be praying for her. It was a great time and the Lord truly blessed us all.

I was honored to lead the base in worship this week and one of my teammates video some of it, so in my next blog I will be posting some footage.

Thank you guys for all of the prayers and support! Love you all so much! If you have any prayer requests please send me a facebook message or leave a comment on here. I would love to be prayer for you!

Also, I applied for YWAM staff, the Lord has really put on my heart to lead in some way with YWAM for a season. In the same way I was lead and mentored I want to be able to pour out and see more and more people filled with a passion to see the lost saved. Please pray that I get accepted if it is the Lord will for me!

love you guy

Prayer and worship in the attic of the YWAM base having church.

Monday morning worship

The men of team Amsterdam and team Poland join together and tackle work duties around the base. Their is so much joy in unity and viewing work as a way to worship and working in a spirit of thanksgiving! we had a blast!

So we have been here for just a few days, but I can honestly say my heart has been moved and marked. The YWAM base is located in the woods that are about a mile outside downtown Hurrnhut Germany. In 1727 the castle(YWAM base) was inhabited with Count Zinzendorf and his Moravian brotherhood. A great revival happened and the town was ignited into a movement that would change the world forever. Over one hundred years of non stop never ceasing prayer and worship began. These men were laid down lovers of the Lord who sacrificed a life that most view as normal to spend every moment engulfed in the presence of the Lord. The early missionary movements that reached out to the ends of the earth, even north America, can be traced back to this very place! Even remarkable missionaries like John Wesely (founder of the methodist church) had spent time here. Peace, and joy radiate out of the forests that surround the property. Day and night singing of birds!

Team Amsterdam and team Poland/Berlin have the honor os spending a week on campus pouring into the Fire and Fragrance discipleship training school here in Hernnhut. This week they are getting teaching from Tom and Donna Cole. They are two missionaries who travel the world sharing about inner heart healing. They hit topics such as father/mother wounds, past relationship guilt and self hatred. They bring so much wisdom on the Lords heart that allows the students to walk in freedom from shane and guilt from their past. This week I get to lead worship during the ministry times while students are receiving prayer for healing. It is such an honor being apart of such a huge moment in these students lives.

Leading a worship set early tonight with Mariah Crane and Bill Mclain! Had a blast! Jesus is faithful!

from the tower. looking to the left you can see some mountains in Poland.

A picture from tonights 4 hour worship set. the panoramic shot came out weird. but you get the idea. I got to lead an hour set than play the box drum for the next hour! The Lord was lifted up and hearts were getting touched by his Love! Nothing more exciting than seeing the students truly engaging with the fathers heart!

The past few weeks have been packed full of out outreach ministry and the Lord has been so faithful!
Last week we made some "free prayer" signs and set up in one of the town squares. Kristen and I played
worship music while the rest of the team walked around with the signs. It was great seeing the Lord work
and guide people to us. We met two girls named Daisy and  Chenal. they were handing out fliers for a
tattoo museum and we agreed that we would take a flier if we could pray for them. They laughed and agreed.
Their transparency was encouraging and they were so thankful for the prayers. They said they had self worth
issues and need prayer for more selfisteam. We were able to tell them about their worth in Jesus and how
beautiful they are and just spoke purpose into their lives. It seamed as if they had never heard someone call
them beautiful in a genuine way. It was a great time and it truly blessed us all.

Our team was asked to lead campus wide worship for the base. I have played music for many years but never lead a worship team in front of more than a handful of people. Actually it always has been in a living room, so you can imagine what it was like. After spending some time practicing, the nervousness went away and we were ready to lead. The time was amazing, seeing 150 (give or take) inter into the presence of the Lord and get ministered to by the heart of the Lord was like nothing else. We have been asked to lead 2 other campus worship times and we are very excited and expectant on what the Lord will do with those times.

During soccer outreach this week we had the chance to pray for a young muslim boy who had a knee injury.
Some members on our team got to talk to him about Jesus and how we know him as our healer and savior. He
said he was muslim and wasn't sure if we should pray for him, but after a few short minutes he agreed. The Lord
was faithful and healed his knee and he began to thank Jesus for what he had done for him! Seeing the Lord
encounter people in such ways as this is priceless and I love it! We had a chance to talk to a couple girls about Jesus and tell them stories from the bible about Him. They told us they had heard these stories but were always told they were just made up. They asked how we talk to the Lord and hear his voice. It was a great time of witnessing and seeds were planted!

This is the Dam Square where we do a lot of outreach to the locals and tourists. 10 years ago all of the bricks were replaced. Some long term missionaries were able to write out tons of verses and placed them in plastic bags. The Lord allowed them to meet one of the workers who was a new believer in Jesus. He agreed to place the bible verses under neath the bricks as they were laying them. The word of the Lord is rooted underneath the main city square! Come on! so awesome!

A must read!

Right now my team and I are on the way to Germany. As I am typing this we are pulling out of the Dresden
train station. We are meeting up with team poland in herrnhut to partner with a fire and fragrance DTS. We
will be spending time discipling the students, serving on the base and leading several times of worship.
