Settling In

So blessed to be back where my missional life all started just 11 short months ago. Arriving only a little over a week ago I am almost settled in. Due to the amount of students coming for the January quarter they are asking all staff to move off of campus. The Lord blessed me with a great place to live for the month of December while myself and a group of guys look for a place near by campus to live from January-March. Looking back over this past year I am blown away by what the Lord has done and has allowed me to do. He has igniting dreams in my heart and I am seeing them unfold before me.

For the next 3 weeks I will be apart of staff training prepping for the upcoming January DTS. The Lord has blessed me with an amazing group of people that are always pushing me and encouraging me to go deeper in my walk with the Lord. Over this past week the Lord has been showing me how to trust Him more and to really lay all fear and anxiety down before Him.

While I was home visiting family, I somehow fit in time to make some necklaces during my 3 day visit. My good friend Cooper happen to have a homework project which entailed him shooting someone doing some sort of job. He asked me if he could photograph me making necklaces. During my DTS in January I sold 200 necklaces to help cover my living costs. I am working on doing the same thing while I am here now. I am still in great need of finances in order to staff in January so I am doing everything I can do personally to raise the funds. Here are some pictures of me making the necklaces.

It is a blast making these necklaces. one of my friends makes these and agreed to let me make some to support myself while in missions. It has been a blessing.

While in Kona we have work duties on base, I was blessed with a duty that I love. I am apart of the media team. Right now I am working on a promo video for the leadership track program, but over this past week I made this video for my friend Jeff to share with his supporters. I would love for you to watch it. Change the quality to HD, it looks way better.

Thank you guys so much for your prayers and support!! God is doing so much in my heart and I can not wait to see who the Lord brings to DTS for me to disciple and lead. Please pray that all of my finances come in. I am still in major need in order to lead a team. Please pray about possibly partnering with me so I can continue being apart of YWAM. Love you guys!!

If you would like to partner with me financially please give me a call at 405-308-3860
Or if you need prayer and just want to hear what the Lord is doing feel free to call me as well.

Because of you!

In one week I will be moving to Kona Hawaii to start staff training for the Fire & Fragrance Discipleship Training School that kicks off January 3rd. Over the past 2 years, University of the Nations has seen this school grow from 40 students per quarter to an expected 200 student quarter this coming January. I attended Fire & Fragrance DTS this past January and my life was totally changed. My heart has been transformed from someone who just believed in God to a man who will now live the rest of his life doing what it takes to see people know and experience the love and forgiveness of God. My heart is to see this generation awakened to complete freedom in Christ, to see people be delivered from false identities, brokenness and hurt placed on them from the world around them and to see them walk in the will that the Lord has for them. Either it be through people seeing the Love of God through my actions, leading of worship or conversation, this destiny for my life is sealed and set in stone. By the
grace of God I will live as an example of Christ love.

In January of this year, my Fire & Fragrance Discipleship Training School had 100 students and many of us have felt the call from God to return and help train the next wave of world traveling missionaries. Through much prayer, I have decided to return to Kona, accepting the staff position to help disciple students and lead an outreach team to the nations. Lecture phase is from Jan-March, outreach phase is from April-June. I am asking for you to prayerfully consider financially supporting me during this time.

Worship and more worship

Obama flying over David's Tent.

My time in DC has been some of the most amazing but stretching times I have had in a long time. From 1am-7am we are in the tent filling up to 6 hours of worship! With 60+ people living in community in the same building with 4 different sleep schedules, days are filled with worship, bible studies and very little sleep. Even on days where my eyes only see 4 hours of sleep I am fully alive and so blessed by the people I live with. I will post videos below of testimony videos of the tent here in DC!

We are now doing a live stream of David's Tent from 7pm-9pm eastern time.

In just a few short weeks I will be moving to Kona with this amazing crew of leaders to prepare for students to arrive for their life-changing 6 month Discipleship Training School. We are so excited! As of now there are 150 students signed up for the school! At this time last year there were only 35 students signed up for the DTS I was apart of in January. This school is going to be something like never before! Our school leaders just did a live video stream sharing testimony of what the Lord is doing in America and in the nations. They made a public call for anyone, young and old to attend the discipleship training school. We are expecting an overflow of students with hearts to see Jesus be known all around the world! Please keep us and the future students in your prayers!

PLEASE CLICK THIS LINK AND WATCH THIS VIDEO! This video is of our school leaders sharing what God is doing around the world and in America! PLEASE WATCH. Start 14:30 minutes into the video.

Jesus Loves to Love

Over the past few days, the one thing that keeps sticking out to me is the love of Jesus and how much He wants to pour it out. As worship is filling the air around the DC area, people are being drawn in. Many tourists that are out looking at the monuments end up at the gathering; they feel something in their heart that they may have not felt for a long time, or maybe never at all. As we see this happening we get the honor of talking with so many people and hearing stories of how David's Tent is impacting them. With 34 more days to go, I am so excited to see the love of Jesus continue to move and to see lives change.

Thank you for supporting me!! Love you guys! Please continue to pray for healing over many of us who are volunteering to be here. The incision from my surgery that I had only 3 weeks ago has become infected, but with the help of my doctor back home I have received the proper antibiotics. Praise God. I believe that we must keep pressing in for full healing so I can keep up with our schedule. All things are possible through Jesus.

Also pray with faith for his hand to move in a mighty way in DC, pray for salvations and more healings!

Here is a video of some testimonies of the past few days. The woman Sage talks about has returned to the tent several times now and her ankle is still 100% healed! We are praying for a good report on her brain tumor. A child of God who was feeling no worth was transformed into a joyful worshiper! Jesus is moving!!!!

David's Tent Thus Far

My time in DC has been amazing! Our schedule is wild but in order to accomplish what the Lord has called us to do, we can not slow down! It is such an honor to be here enthroning Jesus in the most central place in Washington DC! Every night countless tourists and locals walk by and can not help but getting drawn into the tent. Some our encountering Jesus's love for the first time! Here are the past two videos myself and the media team have made.

Washington DC

I made it! The Lord is so faithful and has paved the way. My time in Washington DC has been amazing so far. I am here with my Fire and Fragrance Leadership Track team, joined with the newly pioneered Washington House of Prayer. Last night we were able to go around to all of the monuments while Jason Hershey told us tons of history surrounding our forefathers. It was great to be reminded of the Lords faithfulness and how much His hand was a part of forming this great nation!

While I am here I will be trying to do tons of video updates. This will mean I will have less written blogs. The editing process takes a good amount of time, so squeezing it all in might be tough. I want to keep you all informed as much as possible and continue to give you our prayer needs, as well as sharing what the Lord is doing to stir faith. Last night, Kole, Zak, Sage and I took the 3am-6am prayer shift at the Ellipse Lawn where David's Tent will be held. I will be posting a video we shot while there.

I have added a new "VIDEOS" tab on the left hand side of my website. I would love for you to check it frequently. I will be posting new updates as much as possible!

Thank you so much for your prayers and support! Love you guys!

Please keep our health in your prayers. Since my surgery almost 2 weeks ago my recovery has been pretty good. I am still in some pain, but I am pressing into full 100% recovery by tuesday. I have counted the cost and Jesus is worth it!!!

"Day of Atonement"

"After receiving the permit for the White House Ellipse, starting on September 25th, Jason Hershey (head of David's Tent) realized that Sundown the 25th until Sundown the 26th is actually Yom Kippur – also known as the "Day of Atonement*" – on the Jewish calendar! Yom Kippur is the one day each year the High Priest would enter behind the veil into the Holy of Holies to make “atonement" or intercession on behalf of Israel. Yom Kippur is a day of fasting and humbling before the Lord. Israel would wait each year in nervous, restless expectation: "Will the High Priest come out? What will be the report? Is this year’s sacrifice atonement enough for our sins?" Praise God, we don't need to be nervous or restless anymore! We can enter a Sabbath rest! The Blood of Jesus is Atonement enough! He is our great High Priest! Not just for my sins, but for the entire assembled sins of our whole nation!

*Definition of Atonement: A payment made to satisfy the demands of justice; e.g. Jesus made atonement for our sins.

Discovering that the first day of David's Tent DC is actually Yom Kippur stirred us to set aside that day to be different from the rest. From 7pm September 25th to 7pm September 26th, we will not have live music or any stage production at all! Instead, we are inviting you to come to a quiet tent and simply reflect, meditate and rest in the absolute truth that Jesus has paid our debt in full! If you are not in DC we invite you to join us likewise in your living room. Day one of David's Tent will be a day that we will let the Father sing His song of love over us! After all, is not our call to worship is born not out of the truth that we love, but that He loved us first? On this Day we want to encourage you to fast, to ask God to search your heart afresh and anew. Come to repent, but also to joyfully receive the great atonement of Jesus and His forgiveness – both for yourself and on behalf of America!"

Jason Hershey announced this to us yesterday and we are so excited for what the Lord has planned! Thank you all for your support and prayers! So blessed by all of you! PLEASE if you have prayer requests, please send them to joseph@equinoxvisual.com. I want to join with you in prayer for anything that you need support in!

Love you Guys!

Washington DC Bound! (Lord Willing)

In 14 days I will be heading to Washington DC to start my Leadership Track program. The YWAM staff will be leading a worship tent called David's Tent located behind the White House on the Ellipse lawn. This tent will be open 24/7 for 40 days leading up to the elections. The team I am in will be the one covering the midnight to 6:00 AM worship slot in the tent.

In 1997, my family and I attended an event on the mall in Washington D.C. called Promise Keepers. They made a call to the men of America to stand in the gap, to lead our nation towards living for the Lord. The Lord has put on my heart to be a part of David’s Tent to do just as I was commissioned to do in 1997, to stand in the gap for our nation! I have counted the cost to a "normal" life, I long to see Jesus lifted high in our nation and will do anything short of sin to see this happen; to see the lost saved, the saved revived and everyone trained to share the gospel of Jesus.

PLEASE watch this video and see exactly what I will be a part of this fall!

We will also be doing evangelism on the streets of D.C., partnering with already established ministries (Washington House Of Prayer) and serving them in any way they may need. Living in D.C. will be a lot like my previous outreach in Amsterdam, living life knowing that evangelism is a lifestyle, not an event.

I need you to join with me by becoming part of my support team by praying for me.  Prayer is critical to any ministry. If God is not in this trip, it will all be in vain. Please pray that our Lord would be a part of this trip, and would even now begin to prepare my heart and the hearts I will be ministering to!

Beyond your prayers, if you are led to, join me by financially supporting this mission. I honestly can not do this without your help! My cost for this trip is $1200,  I am only $500 short! The $1200 covers airfare there (not return ticket) food, housing and transportation.

Please pray about what you might be able to donate, weather one time gift or maybe start giving monthly. Even $10 a month goes a long way. I have committed a year to YWAM so monthly support is needed greatly.

Thank you so much for your time and prayers.  If you have not had a chance to read my last few blogs about my time home and time in Kansas City please read!

Prayer request: I have recently put my truck up for sale.  Please pray that the right buyer comes along. Thank you!

GOD BLESS YOU.

America is hungry for Jesus

During my short 2 week stay in Kansas City, through simple outreach times sharing the simple gospel of Jesus, our crew of normal easy going lovers of Jesus saw over 250 salvations and 155 physical healings! We saw hope restored into broken families and relationships and shared the love of Jesus to some who had never heard this good news before! My friend and I got to lead a man to Jesus who was sitting outside of his work waiting for his shift to start. By the time we were done sharing the simple Jesus story about what He did for us, this man asked "do you have something you can give me? I want more".  He was hungry to learn and be loved by Jesus! I gave him my bible my friend lead him through  prayer and he accepted Jesus as his lord in his life. We exchanged numbers so we could get him plugged into a church and get discipled.

Simple obedience changes history!

Matthew 9:27 "Then He said to his disciples, "The Harvest is plentiful but the workers are few".

We had 400 workers in Kansas City, but we need more, simple people sharing the simple truth. It truly is good news and once your heart is transformed by the love of Jesus, everything changes! People are hungry for this news! I showed up to Kansas City saying "I am a worship leader not someone who goes out on the streets and evangelizes". But the Lord quickly showed me that if I wanted to be like Jesus I couldn't write off the soul winning Jesus. Jesus was radical and won souls for the kingdom of God. In the past I walked in fear of man and in a silly entitlement of being a worship leader, through simple joyful repentance I have declared no more fear of man and no more entitlements. Evangelism is a life style not an event.

Since being home we have had 2 worship nights in Edmond getting to share some of what we have learned in Kansas City. Each time we have had over 40 students come. These high-schoolers are getting free from strongholds and getting their true Godly identities spoken into them, truly marking there hearts to see their schools turn to Jesus! They have Joshua 1:9 on their hearts "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go".

Here is a little promo video I made for Deeper.

In 3 weeks I will be heading to Washington DC to join my YWAM family. We will be hosting a 24/7 worship tent that will be located on the ellipse lawn behind the white house. My team will be leading from midnight-6am for 40 days leading up to the elections. Please keep me and my team in your prayers. I am still in great financial need so if you feel lead to give visit my donations tab on my website.

OR go to YWAM KONA and search my name. There you will be given the option to give tax deductible donations. Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support! God Bless! If you are in need of prayer please contact me on Facebook or email joseph@equinoxvisual.com

Thanks!

Kansas City Update

For the past week I have been in Kansas attending The School of the Circuit Riders. The school focuses on simple training for simple, effective evangelism. Over the past week we have had 2 outreach  days where our school split into small groups and hit the streets. More than 100 people have received salvation and have been plugged into a local church for further growth and discipleship! We have also seen countless healings! All of this has happened because young and old have agreed to live a lifestyle of evangelism!

"We say we want to live like Jesus but completely write off the soul winning Jesus". -Brian Brennt

This week a group of us went to a local mall called Crown Center. We all broke into groups of 3 and just spent time walking around and talking with other mall goers about Jesus and asked if they needed prayer for anything. The Lord led me to a man that was sitting outside on a smoke break. I felt like he was dealing with some stuff and might want some prayer so I walked up and introduced myself and told him what I felt when I saw him. I shared that I was a christian and would love to share more about my faith and pray for him if he was willing. This older man immediately opened up to me, sharing that he believed in Jesus but has been struggling a lot lately and wanted prayer for freedom from pornography. Me and my friend Oliver were so excited and walked him through the 4R's (Repent, Receive, Rebuke, Replace).  We told him that Jesus wanted to set him free from his addiction and from any shame or condemnation that he might be carrying from this. I prayed and he repeated after me, repenting from the sin, receiving the Lord forgiveness, rebuking Satan's lies, and replacing the lies of Satan with the truth and freedom of Jesus. After leading him through these simple steps and praying over him for some other stuff, he told us that he felt Holy Spirit come and deliver him! He said he felt so much lighter, the weight he had been carrying was lifted and that he felt clean and renewed.

We have seen some amazing physical and spiritual healing's this week, all to the glory of God!

Being home//Garage sale

Being home has been amazing. The Lord has blessed me with a community of friends here that Love Jesus so much. It has been a time of encouragement and amazing discipleship! We have been doing worship nights with high school students every monday night. We call it Deeper. The Lord has been giving us words to share with the students. Last week we shared that we do not worship the Lord to recieve love, we don't work for it, but worship comes out of the Love we have already been giving from Him. So we don't work for love, we worship out of love that was freely given to us. He is worthy of our worship! Over the past month we have seen a group of highshool kids step into such boldness and start worship/bible studies during other nights of the week! I have been hearing talks of the students having prayer before class at school before classes start! The Lord is doing a mighty work in the hearts of students here in Edmond Oklahoma! All glory to the Lord!

Garage Sale Glory!
I put out a request for garage sale items to local family friends and the response was so overwhelming! The amount of support and encouragement that I received was amazing! The Lord truly blessed all of the work that my parents and I put into it. I am so thankful!

Over the past 2 weeks Kole Whitnah and myself have been working at a friends house helping them prepare to sale their home. The family plays worship music outside for us to listen to. An environment of work and worship. So blessed!
Thank you so much for keeping up with what the Lord has going on in my life. In a few days I will heading to Colorado with my family for a time of rest and fishing. I can not explain how excited I am to get a break from this heat. After that I will be heading to Kansas City to the International House of Prayer for a few weeks of evangelism training.

Please keep my health in your prayers. Over the past week my asthma has decided to give me some issues. I believe that the Lord will have his way with my asthma at some point and heal me, please partner with me in prayer and believe for complete healing!

Thank you so much!
