The last 3 months of preparations flew by way faster than I ever thought it would. Jan 4th came and I jumped on a plane and headed to kona. The Lord has been re building my foundation of who He is and His love for me! This past week Andy Byrd spoke to us on honor and humility. So I am happy to announce that I will be doing my outreach in Amsterdam! We will be pursuing healing and restoration of the hearts in the red light district as well as street evangelism, prayer for freedom over substance abuse. My team and I will be stationed at a YWAM base in Amsterdam. Please keep us in your prayers as we press into the Lords heart on what his will is for us there.
While in Amsterdam we will be ministering to the women stuck in sexual slavery. A lot of the women in the red light district are victims of sex trafficking. YWAM has a prayer room in the middle of the red light district so we will be spending a lot of time pouring into those in that area.
Something that the Lord has shown me this week is that, even in my times of walking in disobedience, He was always with me. He was pursuing me like a hound from heaven. I have learned that walking into this new season with the Lord is so joy filled. Here are some of my notes from one of my lectures.
-The Lord loves us in the midsts of our weakness
-Being a Christian isn't about trying to sin less, it's about living a life of obedience to Him, and in turn sin will fall away
-Before God we all stand perfect, we are all beautiful to Him!
-When we abide in the vine, we can not stop fruitfulness
-Living life for the Lord is way better than personal freedom
-Live with eternal perspective always
-God is better at leading than we are at following
The Lord is showing me that living each day with Him on my mind is what will change my life and others around me. I must be dedicated to reading the word and really allowing it to mark and transform my heart! I can not wait to see what the Lord has for me!!!
