The Lord is calling us to be bold, to be free of fear of man and take the gospel to the streets of this city!
We must trust Him and step out of the boat!
WE MADE IT!!! (view from my room)
After 24 hours of travel we landed in Amsterdam! After meeting up with our contact Sander, we headed to the base to meet the rest of the YWAM Amsterdam family! After battling the cold we were greeted by some familiar faces! Some of our friends we made in Kona are here staffing a performing arts DTS. It was a blessing seeing them here!
The battle against jet lag and culture shock has officially began. We got some rest and today we walked around the city some. After getting our money exchanged over into euros I turned and captured this picture of the girls on my team praying over Central Station!
Going from having 7 roommates to having my own room(closet) is so crazy but I am really enjoying it! This morning I woke up and looked out the window and saw a swan landing on the canal. Even though this city is full of spiritual darkness, the Lord reminded me that their is still so much beauty all around for us to see. This was such an encouraging thing to wake up too. I love when his creation reminds me of his unending love.Amsterdam is blowing my mind. The buildings are so beautiful, the architecture is amazing. As you walk around the town you usually smell weed about every 5 minutes at least. Marijuana was legalized in 1919 in Amsterdam for personal use in public. Should make street ministry interesting. haha
After being in Kona and seeing legs grow and plenty of other amazing miracles, I know that Jesus will have no issue sobering up his children to receive his Love and salvation.
Tomorrow we are going to Crossroads church. We will be partnering with them and serving them in areas they may need. I will be keeping everyone updated on what exactly we will be doing.
I am excited to do worship on the streets! Singing of the Lords love and salvation over this city will be great and I am expectant for great things!
Thank you all so much for your support! Please continue to keep me and my team in your prayers. A handful of us are still raising money for day to day expenses and money for plane tickets home after our DTS is over.
Love yall!
